Creator Doctus was a three-year ‘Strategic Partnership’ project funded by the European Union Erasmus+ Programme that ran from 2018-2021. The project partners entailed: Gerrit Rietveld Academie, EQ-Arts, Glasgow School of Art, Athens School of Arts, l’École Nationale Supérieure d’Arts de Paris-Cergy, Vilnius Academy of Arts, Merz Akademie, Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts.
The project’s ambition was to enable all higher arts education institutions in a greater Europe to be able to independently enter into the 3rd Cycle level with an award recognised at the same level of, and equivalent to, PhD. An award utilising appropriate research methodologies and where arts practice is an integral element of the final presentation.
