EQ-Arts is very proud that its Board Member Lucien Bollaert published the 2nd edition of his successful Manual for Internal Quality Assurance in Higher Education. The 2nd edition is not only an update but also an enlarged edition. The author starts again with the fundamental questions “What is quality?”, “What is QA?” and indeed “What is HE in this globalized society?” All chapters have been updated with new approaches and research, this time also from outside Europe based on his own experiences and lecturing in the USA and elsewhere.

You can order it at EURASHE, through this link.

In its last Board meeting of 3 and 4 November 2019, EQ-Arts felt very honored to inaugurate the following four new Board Members:

Professor Dr. Milena Dragićević Šešić (Faculty of Dramatic Arts, Belgrade; Head of UNESCO Chair in Cultural Policy and Management, University of Arts, Belgrade, Serbia)

Professor Kirsten Langkilde (Rector, Royal Danish Academy of Fine Art, Copenhagen, Denmark)

Professor Pierluigi Sacco (Professor of Cultural Economics, IULM University Milan; Senior Researcher and visiting scholar at Harvard University)

Also, three founding members returned to a position on the Board:

Paula Crabtree (Vice-Chancellor, Stockholm University of the Arts, Sweden)

Professor Anthony Dean (Emeritus Professor, University of Winchester, UK)

Maren Schmohl (Vice Rector, Merz Akademie, Stuttgart, Germany)

At the recent training in Lisbon, hosted by the Politecnico de Lisboa, a group of 14 international participants were trained to become an EQ-Arts reviewer. The participants came from Greece, Portugal, the Netherlands, Switzerland, United Kingdom, France and Sweden.

At the recent Paradox Conference in Riga, EQ-Arts and Paradox signed a Memorandum of Understanding. This memorandum underpins the existing mutual drive to further collaborate and cooperate in supporting Fine Art institutions in the self-evaluation and enhancement of their internal quality systems.
